SHRINE
OF ST. GEORGE,
OUR PATRON

On the ground floor of the south-west staircase is a small shrine dedicate to our Patron. The icon of St. George was brought from Ethiopia and given the parish by Archbishop (now emeritus) Terrence Prendergast SJ.

The shrine is accessible all day long, from the inside of the hall and via the outside doors on the rectory side. You will find a stand for votive candles and a book of intentions and prayers, as well as a wall to put pictures of deceased members and friends of the parish. Parish groups can gather there and say a prayer there before and/or after meetings.

The shrine will help us learn something from the fidelity and courage or our Patron and seek his intercession in different moments of our lives.
