We are a lay Catholic organization whose mission is to live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy. We see Christ in anyone who suffers. We come together as a family, have personal contact with the poor and help in all possible ways.

Legion of Mary

The Legion of Mary is an international, apostolic, Catholic, lay association which, with the Church’s sanction. Under the leadership of Mary, Our Lady of Light, members serve the Church and our neighbours, regardless of religious affiliation. Active members’ primary goal is their individual sanctification by practicing the Spiritual Works of Mercy.

Our Lady of Light Praesidium: St. George’s Legion of Mary Group meets every Saturday from 10:40AM to 12:30PM in the Family Room, on the Parish Hall level. The 1 1/2 hrs meeting includes praying the Rosary, listening to a spiritual reading and an allocutio, reporting on the work done in the past week and planning the work in the week(s) to come.
